I am experienced in virtualization and data center optimization. I am extremely interested in serverless technologies and how that will evolve traditional data center and application technologies.
I help and assist customers with their transition to and adoption of the AWS Cloud.
I act as a Pre-Sales Cloud Management Specialist and help customers understand and navigate the complexities of the Hybrid Multi-Cloud, advise on increasing Operational Efficiencies using the vRealize Suite, and delivering strategies around Complex Third Party Integrations (like Configuration Management tools, IPAMs, Native Public Cloud Services, and Custom Applications, etc).
At Methodist, I came in as the Team Lead for the Server Team (6 people) and was later promoted to Manager, Enterprise Architecture. I ran the technical side of the Epic Implementation for 24 months to include infrastructure design, budget and vendor relations, and managed the team of Epic specific technical resources (8 people).
I was the primary resource for fulfilling customer requests for hardware, software, general support and managing server systems. I also acted as the training resource for new employees.
I served 8 years in the U.S. Army as an Infantry. I was stationed at Schofield Barracks, HI with 1-14 Infantry, 25th Infantry Division and at Fort Bliss with 2-12 Cavalry, later redesignated as 1-77 Armor, 1st Armored Division.
I acted as a Team Lead and acting Squad Leader for a time and was deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom twice (2004-2005 and 2006-2007).
